Voting Working Families means voting your values.
When you vote Working Families, you are voting your values. You're casting your vote for a world where the economy works for all of us, not just the rich and powerful.
When you vote Working Families, you're making your vote say that you believe everyone in Connect deserves access to affordable healthcare and deserve to be able to get a decent job, with decent benefits. That you think it's time the middle class got a tax cut for a change, instead of big businesses.
Working Families was formed by a group of community organizations, unions members and neighborhood activists who wanted to hold politicians accountable on the issues that matter most to working class and middle class families in Connecticut: pocketbook issues like affordable healthcare, fair taxes and living wage jobs.
The way we send politicians a message is with out votes on the Working Families line.
Most often, you'll find a Democrat or a Republican on our ballot line. (Read more about cross-endorsement.)
Rather than ask our supporters to waste their votes on a candidate who can't win, we usually support major party candidates who really stand strong in support of our issues. Votes on theWorking Families line count for the candidate, but also send a powerful message about your values.
Our work doesn't end on Election Day. We're working year-round for economic security for middle class families. And the more voters 'vote their values' on the Working Families ballot line, the easier it is for us to push for real change.
