Issue Spotlight: Healthcare
Healthcare
Our healthcare system is broken. Costs are through the roof, and yet our state still has hundreds of thousands of families lacking coverage.

It's time for our elected leaders to lead on this issue. Read more.

Take Action:

Tell Congress: Bail out Main Street, not Wall Street.

The $700 Billion bailout plan proposed by President Bush and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, a former CEO of Goldman Sachs is the latest swindle that the architects of deregulation are trying to shove down our throats.

If there's enough of a public outcry, and if the Congressional Democrats show a little backbone, we can make sure the bailout includes working families on Main Street, not just millionaires on Wall Street.

Send a message to Congress: Any bailout must help the working and middle class families who've been suffering in this economic downturn.

Main Street not Wall Street!
Send Congress a message: Don't just bail out Wall Street. It's Working Families who need it most! Take action!

Manchester Workers Deserve a Living Wage

In 2006, the town of Manchester passed a living wage ordinance to help create more jobs in the town that could support a family.

This year, the Republicans on the Manchester Board of Directors voted to revoke Manchester's living wage law. Why? Because the town of Manchester has signed a contact with health giant Cigna, and the Manchester Republicans think Cigna shouldn't have to pay a living wage to it's employees.

Tell the Board of Directors: Bring Back the Manchester Living Wage Law
