Field Representative
Through one on one interaction with voters, feild representatives will build community-based power and support for universal healthcare legislation this year. This is a great opportunity for students, recent graduates, and people new to politics to gain valuable communication skills, learn about the political process, and work within a highly motivated group. Opportunity for advancement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong communications skills and a commitment to social and economic justice.
COMPENSATION: $325+/week

Political Organizer
Connecticut Working Families is hiring full-time organizers to help build political power for our members, especially in working-class and of-color communities. Organizers build local CT Working Families chapters by recruiting, training and mobilizing volunteer membership to win campaigns; developing local volunteer leadership; deepening the involvement of our institutional allies; and planning and organizing political campaigns.
Salary/benefits: Dependent upon experience. Health benefits are provided.
Location: Positions are available across Connecticut.
Qualifications: Applicants need an ability to motivate diverse groups of people; a demonstrated commitment to economic and social justice; accountability to goals; a willingness to learn new skills and ideas; a willingness to be self-motivated and self-critical; and a willingness to work hard. Organizing experience is preferred but not required. Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged.
